Hope everyone had lovely, light-on-labor Labor Day weekends.
I’m excited to visit friends in Seattle (hi, friends in Seattle on this list!) in a few days — and equally excited that one of the city’s two (2) women’s sports bars is down to host me for a Mind Game event. I’ll be in conversation with Better Faster Farther author Maggie Mertens. Come hang with us at Pitch the Baby on Capitol Hill next Monday, Sept. 8 at 5 p.m. We’ll talk sports, we’ll sell and sign copies of our books, all the good stuff. Plus, the bar is extending happy hour through 6 p.m. for the occasion.
I’m also looking ahead to Mind Game’s paperback launch on Thursday, Oct. 16. I’m hoping to have cool news about a New York event to invite you to around that time. Stay tuned!
Meanwhile …
Finding Renée Richards updates
- The book will come out next August, in time for the U.S. Open. It’s been heartening to see all the love this year for Giri Nathan’s new tennis book, which you should absolutely buy
- I’m working through edits, and I couldn’t be more hype about how everything is coming together
- I SAW THE COVER DESIGN, and I absolutely love it — hopefully I can share it here soon
And hey, if you appreciate my work, much of it freelance, feel free to toss a few bucks my way. Thanks!
